RESTAURANT & LOUNGES:

Overlooking the breathtaking main gardens, swimming pool, and the old factory buildings, the Temozon Restaurant proposes a blend of regional and international cuisine. Most of the ingredients are organic and come from the gardens. Fresh-baked bread is home-made at the hacienda and fresh fish are brought in daily from the surrounding coastal villages.

Don't forget to ask your host about our "Romantic Dinner" arrangements - dinner for two served in a perfect hideaway where the grounds are lit by twinkling candles and the only sounds you'll hear are the singing of the 50 species of birds that live onsite.

A stroll around the impressive reception rooms in the main house is a real treat. The library here has an excellent collection of volumes on Mayan archaeology, history and local flora and fauna, with many available in English. Games such as backgammon, chess and cards are also available.

Guest Comments

"The hotel is an elegant, majestic, historic building with a lot of unique touches all over the place. Huge gardens very well kept, with lots of flowers. All rooms are different, and done with so much love and care and the personal touch of the cleaning ladies, it's like a dream. The setting is amazing wit those majestic gardens and gorgeous swimming pool. The food was excellent."

"We have just returned from our trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, where we stayed at Hacienda Temozon for three absolutely magnificent days. The service was fabulous and so were the beautifully restored buildings and the excellent (and inexpensive) traditional Mexican food. Enjoy the pool in the beautiful garden while watching the peacocks and drinking a fruity cocktail. All in all it was one of the most exclusive, secluded, romantic places I have been to and would recommend it from the spot!"

Our pool is over 140 feet long and is surrounded by lawns, with sun loungers and shaded areas available. The traditional Mayan technique of 'Chu-kum' has been used to waterproof the pool and add a unique shimmering effect.

From the very earliest days of the hacienda there have been very close links between the workplace and the daily life of the villagers. Even today, the simple chapel just inside the entrance to the present day
hotel is very much a part of the local community. Regular services are held here, and it is a real treat for guests to see the majestic building
still in use.
